The "I Am" poem

by kittie007   Jan 27, 2008

Class assignment that i thought was fun:

I am a feisty girl who values respect.
I wonder when the world will see that hatred doesn't cease by more hatred.
I hear a variety of music from my jukebox.
I see color in a black and white world.
I want love where hate manifests itself.
I am a feisty girl who values respect.

I pretend that I am La Reina.
I feel the weight of my family at times.
I touch the sky to make ripples in the clouds.
I worry that I'll fail in life.
I cry when i think about what already happened.
I am a feisty girl who values respect.

I understand that people aren't perfect.
I say let them eat cake.
I dream of the Renaissance Era.
I try to always look at the good side of things.
I hope to make a contribution to the world.
I am a feisty girl who values respect.
