One More Time

by EssenceOfLace   Feb 1, 2008

What's one more time?
If it gives me sweet rapture,
If fate kneels before me,
Taming my uncertanty.

I can run in circles,
To find my own destiny,
But if what's upon me is mine,
What's just one more time?

This love does not come,
From pain and lost passion,
But from the honesty, and truth
That cures it's own disaster.

I will not dwell on the past,
For it is there for a reason unsure,
It makes you who you are,
And who you'll be for the future.

So what's one more time?
To feel its warm, sensual taste.
The blood of previous lovers
Releasing like fallen grace.

The cold steal of love,
Pressed against my raw skin.
Oh, orgasmic, feeling of cutting,
One more time, please, again...

*NOTE: I am not a cutter. But I know the feeling of addiction, and I know cutters, and how hard it is to quit. The craving is always there, so I decided to write about it*

This poem was one of those that you are sure it's about one thing, but it turns out to be about another. Loved it. I could almost feel it during the last stanza. The words pulled you in, and the whole poem was greatly written. Excellent. Another 5/5!

Deep poem... I'm against cutting though so this didn't appeal to me that much. Loved the side-note, its good to know you don't cut! The flow was great, the word choice was immaculate, and the concept was decent! 5/5 :P

Once more you impress me. So much from someone so young. You remind me of myself at that age. My words, then, were also strong. Keep going.

This poem really throws you into a cutters mind. You never know the exitment of a cutter unless you are one, but here you described it in a very good way. I loved the rhymes and flow, all went together nicely. Great job 5/5
