Suffocation under starlight

by Alison   Feb 5, 2008

You know when I'm with you that
My hands are shaking
So please don't let your heart stop beating
it's the only thing that can keep me breathing
because without you
There's no one to stop the bleeding

I know this soon could end
And I hope so much you'll stay
You know for you that I would do anything
To have this last
I'd have it no other way
But I guess that we're
Just dreaming

Do you remember when
The sun kissed the horizon
While those senseless butterflies
Made our hearts spin round

we watched the stars twinkle
Under that night sky
Oblivious to all the days
passing us by

There's nothing better than
Looking into your eyes
And
Unless we suffocate
under all of these stars tonight
I can promise you
That this will never die
We'll never have to say
Goodbye

Why would anyone pull away from eyes that look like that
And why would anyone pull away from a heartbeat that sounds like that
How can you pull away from a whisper as soft as that?
I can't

I won't let you fall
From the ledge you've
Put yourself out on tonight
You'll never fall as long as
you stay here with me
I promise you
Because
this is the way that it should be
This is the way it should be
Looking into your eyes
Looking into your eyes

You'll see

There's nothing better than
Looking into each other's eyes
And
Unless we suffocate
under all of these stars tonight
I can promise you
That this will never die
We'll never have to say
Goodbye
