Hushed sobs

by Alison   Feb 5, 2008

Hushed sobs
Blot out these shrilling screams
Hid deep underneath
These hopeless crushed dreams

The tears that are falling
Drown out the misery
Behind those eyes
There is a story

Hopes long forgotten
It's so clear
Lost amongst ourselves
Amidst our own fear

This shaking body
Keeps me from going insane
Sanity slipping through my fingers
Longing grasps hold on in vain

I can't hold on much longer
This cannot be the end

Hushed sobs
Evolve to heaving cries
Hopelessness remembered
I do recall those painful eyes

Trickling tears
Flow into a river
Still I cry
As the new found sea shimmers

I cannot hide it any longer
This is the end
My grip is loosening

I lose myself in this sea
Of hopeless dreams
No longer will the sobs be hushed
I will release these deafening screams
