Kiss those closing eyes

by Alison   Feb 5, 2008

Tears falling from these darkened eyes
You're trying your hardest
To be what they want you to be
Deepened cuts bleed crimson tears
Pouring from the beating heart
That you wear on your sleeve

Forget about the dreams of
Happily ever after
Things will all work out in the end
That's what they say

Every shallow breath you take
More fatal than the last
Cry your crimson tears from the
Heart you wear
For the entire world can see
you close those darkened eyes
close them for the last time

try to run away
drown in these tears that are falling
like rain
there's no silver lining in these black clouds
of pain
and you're running in circles
and the entire world can see
you're running in circles
with your crimson tears falling
from the heart on your sleeve

with every single drop of hope
that is falling
you're losing nothing at all
with your lover's arms calling
for you

there's no one here to kiss those
darkened weeping eyes
no one to wipe the crimson tears from the
heart beating slowly
ever more slowly

drift off into these hellish skies
whisper your very last goodbye
for all of them to hear
leave this empty town
where there's
no one to turn to
Bleed your crimson tears
you'll find one to kiss those closing eyes
