Insomniac

by jason   Feb 6, 2008

Sleep deprived
forgot whats the time
it creeps like sticky slime

how long has it been
days or weeks
since i last was able to fall
into a deep deep sleep

a body thats constantly weak
trembling as it blinks
with voices heard
in a stir of words
that mean nothing
to the tired mind

eyes that deceive
a line of crows can be seen
that don't exist

they disappear into the abyss
just like an angel's sweet kiss

the sandman as he's rich
forgot to bless this body
with sleep
so forgotten
do not weep
sit up day after day
watching the sheep jump into hay

sleep soon will come
hopefully
and the insomnia will be done

Pretty good until the end...I was kinda thrown off into the wrong direction but it's not bad...reminds me of Heath Ledger
