Letters To Lovers Part Four: Fixing Faith

by Ashes of a Black Rose aka Night Child   Feb 6, 2008

I've written poems, letters, songs,
On how I've loved you all along.
This road we're on, it seems so long,
Baby, tell me what is wrong.

It hurts to breathe, it hurts to speak,
It hurts to walk these heavy feet.
This road ahead looks so damn bleak,
My heart grows weak with every beat.

This silence burns, not knowing kills,
My soul is losing living will.
My crimson veins are standing still,
Uncertainty brings only chills.

Our memories are haunting me,
A ghost of all we used to be,
Silent songs, it's whispering,
Faith for all we could still be.

Your eyes are dulled and losing shine,
I cant find truth in your "I'm fine,"
I'm sick of spending all my time
Wondering if you're still mine.

Youre right beside me, yet so far,
Fading like a falling star,
All I love is all you are,
It can't end now, we've come too far.

It was a dream, but now feels real,
Love for you is all I feel,
Our dream of future can be real,
If you're in, I'm in, that's a deal.

I won't give up, I won't give in,
Forgiveness cures the every sin.
This ice we're on is wearing thin,
Let's change before we're too deep in.

I've searched through life without a clue,
Years and years of nothing new,
No idea what to do,
Lost until I fell for you.

These lights are dimming in my head,
The faith that's left is nearly dead,
Spoken words can't be unsaid,
Can we just talk this out instead?

*written for Dane after he became totally withdrawn... and i thought i was losing him...
