Poems of remembrance are always brings of sadness though they act as a way sometimes to remove some of the grief. Though it will never get rid of the longing of those words you wanted to say. Is funny how they help sometimes with the prayers that we do pray.
An excellent expressive poem though it has one glaring spelling mistake the meter is broken but it takes nothing away
p.s. LIE or LAY LYE is used to make soap

This is very sad, but you put so much love and effort into it I could tell. I'm glad you still remember him and its nice to know he'd be curious about boyfriends and things like that, most fathers are. Its obviously hard growing up without a father I've done it most my life to be honest, but it'll make you stronger because of it and just because he's gone doesn't mean he has to be forgotten :) Great job 5/5

Wow, this is amazing... it shows such strong emotion and is so touching. The simple rhyming worked so well.. and the poem was so strong.. i especially loved the ending:
"I still think about your smile,
and how you'd hold me on one knee;
but don't worry dad I'll always know
how much you did love me. "
^was a perfect, powerful ending. i loved it.

You put your heart and soul into writing this. You can just feel the emotions oozing out of it. Very powerful and strong piece of writing. Definitely an honor read it. Please, stay strong. Your father would be so proud of you. He really would be! You have a real talent for writing and I pray you continue to keep it up...

I am so sorry to find out that some idiot voted this poem with less than a 5. It is not only moving but also well written and beautiful. Whoever voted below 5 does not deserve to be a member of this poems and quotes site. One thing is sure is that i am going to read some more. And listen to Tess the comment above mine, this person is right, your Dad would be so proud of you.
