Thanks. And children are still kids even when they are 19.

    Congratulations on your win!

I always adore short poems that paint such a vivid scene, and really focus on one moment in time!

There are many roads this poem can take you, mainly back to your childhood when you were suddenly shouted at for a certain behaviour, usually one which would be unsafe, but you get such a shock at the parent/adult shouting at you, that you react through crying.

It is an act of love, and the love returned is very moving. To know that a child's cry holds such innocence and reminds you of how young they are, and how they come with no ill intentions or harm in their young years. It is very easy to forgive them.

    Touching write Sir.

Small poetry at its finest. Many times I read comments such as "small but good" or "wish this poem was longer"---- and in my opinion, sometimes, less is BEST!

This poem fits the saying to a tee. A time between a parent and child, there is that heightened point in time when frustrations from both parent and child hit a peaking point.

Larry makes his message quite clear in this powerful little piece here. Says it all quite elegantly as well. What a dazzling poem by Larry this week.

I was touched by this poem in many ways. Just wonderful

Without saying anything at all you created a scene and shared two hearts with us. You made a beautiful point and wrote something that everyone can relate to whether they are the child or the parent - and in some cases both. With so few words you penned perfection, really making a point to capture the essence of the moment. Definitely yet another beautiful piece from you.
