Comments : Dangerous Role Model

Unfortunately this poem both describes reality and predicts the future all too well. You capture the essence of the suffering victim, but I think you come close to a glimmer of the mindset of the perpetrator. Perhaps a Part II would be the twisted world view of the abuser.

I know way too many people who can relate to this piece, I can in some ways but not as fully as them; anyway, all I am getting to in saying this is that I believe those people I mentioned would agree that you have truly captured this. All too honestly and all too perfectly...

very dark write, but stunningly so since you caught every angle of this so honestly

Agreed with Larry and Maddy, this seems to be happening more in the world nowadays. This poem is thought provoking with it's simple message. You see here through the eyes of a child feeling abused. I like the point of view here though, it is creative to see though sad. This tells me that it could be based on reality or someone you know or knew or based on the world in general. We always have hope that something will change, but it's difficult. The twist in the end is stunning, the father wants his son to be like him. I like this for it's message, because it can be part of everyones life. 5/5

You have Perfectly described here the suffering of a child who is continously getting abused by his very own father....great job!
