Sometimes you find yourself in a situation where you cannot help those you are in charge of, where the very ones who are supposed to succor them from pain and anguish in reality do not care, and they penalize you for caring. That's where you fight monsters, the real ones, in human form. That's where you find the abyss. Do not gaze so long at it that it possesses your very being.
