    Misery loves company...
    so why do I just
    want to be left alone...?

    ^^

Love this Brenda and I love the poem as a whole. To be honest, when I am miserable, everyone knows about it!

In truth, this is a sad write. We all deal with unhappiness in our own way; whatever gets you through, I guess.

Take care and all the best,
    Ben

Thank you Ben, I think when I'm unhappy everyone knows about it, when I'm miserable I retreat and get very quiet. It seems as though I need to gather my strength to get me through what is causing me so much pain. I'm glad you liked it, thank you again for giving it a read. Take care-Brenda

Brenda, what a truly saddening yet relatable and enthralling write.

As Ben said, we all deal with unhappiness in our ways and some people deal with it a lot belter than others thus (I feel) some of us getting depression etc.
As a whole this piece was perfect even though sad.

    All the best, Em

Hi Em! Thank you so much for reading this and letting me know what you thought. I wrote this during those years my daughter wasn't speaking to me, it was an awful time in my life. I was pretty much on auto pilot. If I could have crawled into a hole and disappeared it would have been ok. Thank you again! Brenda

Life is full of ups and downs, it seems to have a life of its own and we are just passengers tagging along for the ride.

What do we do when life is miserable? Often we don't realise the exact reasons, we just stumble from day to day, hoping that the next will improve.

What do we do when our misery affects others around us? Again, often we don't mean to, but they become sullied in the drudge we tread.

What do we do when we have finally surfaced and can breathe air again? Often, we are too exhausted to think of anyone else except our own recovery.

What do we do when we are recovered. We write, we say, we show how we feel about those who tried to support us, who tried to love us, but were unable to. We say, I am sorry. I have always loved you and I never want to feel like this again - ever!
