Jane, this is fabulously done and hard hitting which we can all relate too.

A broken heart never truly mends and a heart that's stopped as you say never fixes.
Love your metaphors like recharging batteries.

    Fantastic work as always.

Wow, I really liked this a lot. Each line is hard hitting, to the point. Well done-

Man. I am speechless after this. The heaviness of that last line.

    Wow.

I love it when Jane writes small and yet powerful poems... she rocks in my opinion!

A heart is fragile and nobody loves forever.... this poem has a statement that is gripping for the reader and powerful all in its own... wonderful!!

    Judging Comment:

Let me preface this comment, with the fact that I think all of the poems I voted for, were worthy of a 10 vote; I selected the votes arbitrarily (had them all open in new tabs and just reordered the order of the poems and stopped and went left to right, lol). The brutal honesty in this poem appealed to me; it wasn't even dressed as saccharine or bittersweet. Left me wondering about how truly fragile life is, and it reminded me a lot of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvdtKK-UaE0

A truly honest poem, and perhaps one that we can all relate to. A well deserved win.

I can see why this hit the front page...just wonderfully written.

"I have seen the pendulum stop"

^^^^^^ this right here carries so much weight, so powerful and easy to identify with,

    Epic.

This is just great! So short and yet tugs heavily at the heart!
