I am in tears right now. This poem was beautifully written! I only wish I could write like you. My bf just got back from Iraq and leaves in Jan. on my bday to go again. Just this poem hit close to home and I try to write like this but I just cant seem to get the words out of my head! Well, I gave it a 5/5 so Keep the writing coming!

As good as that is - and i have to say it is really good so well done especially with the description of everything and quite a good message - some lines it sounds as though you've just tried to find something that rhymes and haven't quite thought of a better way to put it - but on the other hand a fantastic poem and really well written

wow, amazing poem. i greatly admire you for taking the perspective of a soldier. stupid presidents always sending the young and the poor and the helpless to fight...when its rlly their battle...ok im gonna try and calm down now...if this is a true story from ur personal life im greatly greatly sorry. damn those presidents...
