In the beginning,
It was a wonderful thing.
New places and new experiences.

The life you knew was the most beautiful sight for your troubled eyes.
In the darkness, there was always a light,
To guide you back to those you loved.

The sights and thoughts became overwhelming,
And so, it wasn't worth it anymore.
You were suddenly gone, never to return.

Our tears shed were for you,
For your memory, for your place in our hearts,
They were shed only because your absence was too hard to imagine.

In the end,
It was too much, and nothing seemed good or right anymore.
We loved you, and we wish you could have seen that.

But even though our hearts are breaking,
And our memories are so vivid that they haunt us,
We will always remember you, and the impact you had in our lives,
