Distress of the Heart

by Owner of an Untamed Heart   Sep 17, 2011

Morbidly staring at a blank page
Of her poem book
Wordlessly crumbling up inside, is her
The bare page taunting her aloud
She can barely think to write
Angrily, she slams the pen against her desk
Sharply rising from her chair
Opens her blinds to look into the world
As her neighborhood quickly is showered
Curses softly under her breath
Exasperated with her own inner feelings
How can she write about getting stronger in a book
Where the former pages says she loves him ?
How can keep telling herself that she's fine
When her heart constantly reminds her,
That she's not over him,
Not by a long shot
