The Romantic Moon

by PorcelainMoon   Mar 16, 2014

Her perceptive whispers sweeping my consciousness away from the Cold obscurity beneath
Only for the night she chose me and we embraced the falling of the sky
Seeking the conductor for the orchestra of my being to catch me from Falling off the edge of the world
Running my blistered fingertips through the folds of her hair
Euphoria
Sucking moisture from our fading lust
Into devotion
Into emotion
Connecting my arms around her lower back
Ball dancing into the twilight
We are free
The fading sun forfeits
Unto the romantic moon
Despondency overwhelming in the presence of her eternal eyes
Though I cannot repulse from the neglect I have for my own flesh
She speaks and retreats into my arms like I'm her only resolve
