Radiance

by Kakera   Mar 25, 2014

My heart beats emptily
pushing wind through
my abandoned veins

as I preach vanity
to the blind
and worship it

the soldiers
of no tomorrow
march on

reaching the you
that I always chased,
to love you in my place

as I try to make
the sun's radiance
replace my skin

but the dark never leaves
