In Her Eyes

by LittleMsPink   Apr 1, 2014

They abused her kindness for long enough
That her heart has turned so cold
Her demons, has made their move
Made her darkest side unfold

She was filled with anger and hatred,
Now numb & cold as ice
There's nothing left to feel
But hate within her eyes

All she ever wanted was to be happy
But everyone just left
Now all she wanted now
Is to end her final breath

So she grasp & held the blade
At the darkest part of dawn
Sliced it down her wrist
Deep enough to see the bone

She shed on one last tear
Not of pain yet not of sadness
She left her eyes wide open
So you'll see the hate and madness

This is well written. It gets more sorrowful as you read each stanza and you got the perfect ending. Good job!

Life is wonderful if you'll try to see the beauty in it. Cheers!!! God bless you!

That first stanza I can truly relate too. This poem is very well written. I love the raw emotions that are throughout it.

In some places it didn't flow but that aside the message wad beautiful and powerful to put a punch in the end so that covered the nonflow of the poem quite well 5/5
