Downcast Demise

by Chris Swiderski   Apr 10, 2014

Splayed bare
My image borrowed

I'm here today
Begone tomorrow

Caste away
From what I was beholding

Cardiac arrest
of a treasure once golden

Bartered my life
For too little a price

Shook hands
With the deceiver's plan

Felt forsook
Completely overlooked

Digging my plot
To cradle this wound

I shan't rest easy
In Sheol, my tomb
