Untouchable.

by Poet on the Piano   Jun 2, 2014

When words mean nothing
that is when life
escapes you,
deciding to pull away
because it can't
move you anymore.

Too much to say,
intensity none of us
are prepared for.

So I'll wait in stillness,
accepting silence
as it cradles me
with lifeless arms.

Extremely deep. I love the first paragraph a lot. the second paragraph really speaks to me . I always have such deep thoughts but feel like no one would care nor understand . I like how you show you give up in the end without saying those exact words . the metaphors are really pretty.

I really liked it, but I kept having the lingering feeling of wanting more. I just wanted it to have more body and be longer, but I guess that's because the emotion reached me well because it was really good :).

I really liked this poem a lot too. There can be a lot of interpretations this can go and everyone who reads this have different ideas but... I thought the first stanza could be about writing or even something you read. I think as poets we all go through this time in our life where nothing seems to be working at all and we cannot find the words to say. There is always more and more yoy want to say thoughts always rush into you. I thought the last stanza was very clever and wrapped up the poem well. Though I doubt my thoughts were correct still a great poem overall :)
