Dictator

by Jenni Marie   Jun 16, 2014

I wanted to write you
a letter, but didn't know
what to say. So I thought
I'd try a a rap, a story,
a poem-

{but nothing came to mind.}

I guess you have a hold
over me once again, your
voice constantly in my head
chanting your facetious
words. And I know, I know
it's all lies, I know about your
wicked and scheming ways yet

all I can do is listen.

Nothing else is as important
as following your words and
rules- even if that means
destroying my life in the
process. Ironic, isn't it? You,
who are so full of control, let
Mia begin; but I guess you were
biding your time-waiting
until it was time to pounce.

Waiiting until she had weakened
me and you could override my
defenses, knowing you would make
it through. And now every thought
is controlled by you, every action
dictated by you -you're back to
controlling me.

{And I don't know how
to rid myself of you.}
