June 16 1976
by then we were too young to comprehend
or even too young to remember
we played no part as inocent children
but we must face the consequence

june 16 1976
this is the day from an era that ought not to be forgeton
this was the youth with a dream and a mission driven by a visionn and a passion
their burning desire for democracy and recognition
drove them to take action and stand for what they believe in

they were role models and greatest of all leaders
they believed that their action would make a difference
a future for them
a future for u and i
they pushed boundries in order to creat opportunities

june 16 1976
one by one they perished
their insatiable greed
led to the death of young hector peterson and great tsietsi mashinini
but now we can testify on their behalf

june 16 1976
this is the memorable day of our late brothers and sisters
they were killed
short dead like animals
although the year is gone
but history is written.
