Me, you and her

by charli   Jul 1, 2014

Me (present)

every night
it could be a fright
as she paints art on her arms
her hips
her thighs
her stomach
with a shining paintbrush
there is no need to rush
but there is a sense if urgency
if she cuts any deeper it will be an emergency

you (future)

she was hospitalised a lot
sleeping in a hospital cot
a teenager with no reason to live
a girl with no potential to give
self harm
eating disorders
depression
anxiety
all now a normal part of life
all of this endless strife
doctors and nurses will try
when she tries to die
save her please

her (past)

she never had much to give
but at least she had a reason to live
bullies galore
nightmares and more
but you know, she smiles
so its alright
but she is really gone by miles
