Lips...do not betray

by Meena Krish   Jul 16, 2014

There are things I want to say
but don't send them your way,
have dreams which come to play
and I tell them not to stay,
the sadness that weighs
I try not to display
for fear my stormy essay
will blow you far away,

There are things I want to say
but I keep them at bay
as my tears ache to lay
in your arms each day,
I pray that my lips, do not betray
and swallow the hurt, that I can't convey.

Well, they say sometimes, somethings are better left unsaid, but i think we should always be honest with others even if it causes us to take different path. I will never lay at rest in someone arms with so much unsaid words. At the end of the day, it's always difficult to decide if we should keep things to ourselves or just simple say it. love it, very well done.

Meena this is just an excellent write. The title only engrossed me and the flow with perfect rhymes. You are conveying so beautifully some of the feelings you have held for long in your heart.

    for fear my stormy essay
    will blow you far away

Can read the pain you are withholding with the fear if your lips betray you will create a distant
to whom you want to tell your inner feelings and dreams
and swallow the hurt, that I can't convey

    A great piece of work
