Attempt to Understand (Part I)

by Smaccams   Sep 18, 2014

Twist, bend and curve to transform;
You create the Ultimate from your brittle bones and rotting guts.
You are a model to no one but the same shadows you speak to everyday.
But doesn't it get lonesome to only receive smiles from a mirror?

'Only if it's the same mirror all the time', you say.

What a silly girl.
You've only started to bloom and bleed in colour,
Yet you still choose to see the streets and skies in monochrome.
Where is the appeal and romance in your dreary turned vision?
Is it by choice to be blind to the everyday gesture?
Or does emotion turn you awry?

'My stomach is starting to hurt', you say.

I just think all my words are getting to you, sweetheart.
