Unspoken heartbreak
written in the stars,
shining down on sleeping souls,
delivering darkened dreams.

Almost seven years ago
I lost my one true love,
his final breath let go
and gave a heartbroken
handshake to death.

No one understands
the trials we went through,
but our love was for the keeping,
destiny was me and you.

But now the world can't see
the beauty of our love,
it's like it never happened,
a secret loved and lost.

So here I am,
my eyes do weep,
my tears to you,
they try to speak.
Drifting slowly off to sleep,
