To protect and serve

To protect and to serve
you must have enough nerve
or a lethal device
to kill the sacrifice
Officers have the sense
they can claim self defense
then hide behind the fear
if any threat is near

    Intresting stanza and I assume it's just for police officers? It shows the verbs to goodness and it describes what you have to posses to be a police officer, has a great sense of flow, and it has everything that a very short poem can offer to the readers very good poem Michael! 5/5
