Acoustic chords fill the air with
love tonight, as we celebrate an
esteemed life force that has fallen.
xylophones thump to a somber beat.

I love this, Natasha. I've read this a few times and the only scene that I picture is you sitting around with family and/or friends, playing your acoustic guitar and reminiscing on good memories you all shared with a lost loved one. Truly a beautiful moment. Not sure if I'm correct but it's the vibe I get. Great job, girlie!

I'm still pondering this one's meaning, heh. My brain is swirling around and I have no idea what to say. Here are my thoughts: Alex is the love you have for a certain person, a child or another person (man). You are celebrating an anniversary of some sort. Or it could be you are celebrating a birthday or the anniversary of a death. There are so many things going for this poem, it is so well written. The imagery creates a beautiful atmosphere that the reader can fall in love with. Is this truly a love poem with a somber message or a sad poem with a love message? I don't know. But the vagueness of this poem is beautiful and makes the reader consider it carefully. Well done.
