Permanently Blocked

I am struggling to remember
the way I once felt about you -
I try...
but drastically fail.

Sometimes it makes me cry,
and I only wish you could hear my tears.
I wish you cared
that I don't value you
the way I used to.

In time I learned the greatest trick
of blocking you out of my mind,
out of my heart, and out of my life -
you couldn't hurt me any more.

Only now I'm really struggling
to remember the way
I once felt about you -
when you once meant something to me.
