Drunk On Forgetting You

by Winter   Dec 9, 2014

Held you , kiss me, I was forever in your spell
Love me, I need you, can't you see I was your baby girl?
Walking in the cold rain the morning after
crying , frightened, missing you and me
Making you mine in the middle of the night
In train track traffic , secret lover, washed up desires
goodbye to you, hello broken up me
slipping away, letting what we had go
screaming, dying, helpless & lying on the bathroom floor
I was just naive believing you would change
never really wanted to open my eyes and see the
real messed up you
close my eyes, dancing barefoot , trying to make
myself drunk on forgetting you.
