A Phone Call Away

by John Doe   Jan 13, 2015

Bright and sparkling eyes,
Mesmerizing, like little fire flies.
And a big shiny smile stuck on the face,
Almost hiding, your pathetic case.

Yet I fell for it, knowing it was a fraud,
Wish I had chosen against falling for this fraud.
Loved you more than I could, gave you all I had,
But nothing was ever enough, and that's what makes me sad.

You may ignore me, like I don't exist,
But all your fakes, don't bother me the least.
For I am still high, on those shiny eyes,
Seeing whom, I just forgive all your lies.

You may burn me alive, my blood you may drain,
Smile at me once and ill endure all that pain.
but listen to this heart with your name who cries,
Don't extinguish the fire, of your fireflies.

for the road ahead would be rough,
And your eyes may not always be able to play the bluff.
So when the hell breaks loose, to cease the day,
Id be there for you, just a phone call away.

No matter how much love has hurt your feelings, the love you feel for the other just lets you forgive again and again. It is that same love that does not want to see the other get hurt knowing one day their fault will backfire.

Grammar is everybody's friend and in this particular poem in some parts you need to go and put more commas, don't put a capital letter on every line it actually hurts my eyes, ( I know I've done this in the past but I'm changing my poetry), and you should be good.
