It

by N J Thornton   Jan 23, 2015

Laughing in the shape of a frown
in the pinching darkness

- foetus
under a bed sheet

helpless, with out
help

a stone longing to
be an angel -
skimming the depth
in flight
then plunging into
cold loneliness

breath stains the silence;
I am not granite.
