Without you

by Brittany Hampson   Jan 28, 2015

I thought you would be safe,
Safe from all harm,
Here in my womb.

Yet, You never made it,
safely in my womb.

They say it isn't our fault.
They say it just happens.
They say I can try again.

Yet I will never have you.

Never to hold,
love,
protect,
or kiss.

Never to see your little face,
Hear your little cries,
Watch you grow.

My silent grief,
Never forgotten.

Powerful poem, the loss of that child is so raw, and you wonder why it happened, but hear people telling you that it is not your fault and one of life's unfortunate things.

    Touching write.

Beautifully written. The raw emotion really comes through in this piece.

It must be so very difficult to come to terms with this type of loss. My heart goes out to you.
