I surrender

by Jenn   Feb 16, 2015

I surrender.

Wildly attracted, reasons unknown..
As time passes on, the feeling has only grown.
Yearning for more, but scared of your rejection..
An addiction; constant thoughts of you like an infection.
In your arms my heart feels at ease..
Even though I know I cannot please you.
I cannot keep you...
This love will be the death of me.
Not physically, but emotionally.
What's worse is I keep walking into it.
As if under a compelling spell..
Trudging into my own personal hell.
I want you to know..
That this love is not superficial..
That it will not fade..

My heart vulnerable & tender..
Masochistically I surrender..

Jenn, love this! Those people we should be running from but just can't seem to stay away from. They destroy us, reduce us to shells but we keep coming back. Well done-

Wow. This is so well written and raw. Admire your honesty and how you beautifully bleed it onto the space. Hats off to you :)

Till scarcity, value is lost. When it's high time, summary arrives. There's always one out there, who cares.
