My Now Tainted Soul

by Curtis Young   Mar 11, 2015

My, now tainted, soul,
Was formed from blow after blow.
The darkness will stay,
For each and every day.
I try to drown my demons yet they know how to swim,
I can't remember how this did begin.
Every morning and night is always the same,
I lay there questioning if I'm sane.
The start and end are always black,
I wounder if things will ever go back...

    The darkness will stay,
    For each and every day.
Honestly I felt like these either needed to be longer or just weren't needed. But I loved the opening, that had to be my favorite part. Loved the statement showing that turning into a monster just doesn't happen over night but slowly over time from each blow you get. I really enjoyed reading this. Hope to see more from you. 5/5

Really, I've been fairly brutally honest tonight, and I have to say this is the best thing I've read so far. "I try to drown my demons, yet they know how to swim" that line in itself spoke volumes to me. Really great job man, very impressed. 5/5 obviously.
