Coeur Brisè

by Westerly   Apr 8, 2015

His story was a lonely one, his soul empty and his heart crippled. A broken man alone in a cruel and rugged world. She came with grace and sat beside him. She pulled at his incapacitated thoughts and muddled emotions until he was a shell, bare and desolate, completely exposed. She knew his heart and the inner workings of his mind. She had dusted the darkest corners of his thoughts and sheltered him with her resilience. She planted within him a garden of the most exquisite daffodils and lilacs and all the happiness she felt he deserved. His eyes were opened and his wounds healed...
So he left behind his cold and isolated prison, and set of to find what beauty that still remained in this world. He took with him nothing, nor did he bid her goodbye. So she stood in her own undoing of his demons, alone surrounded by a contagious sadness. She was exhausted, she had put all she had into him, but who could save her...?
