Dream Dancer

by Kakera   May 1, 2015

With divine grace did she dance
inside the rays of moonlight
passing through the weeping willows
where our eyes first knew death,

and with blazing truth inside of her
she sought to understand the nature
of the eternal rain that stole our passion

She would burn it all away,
leaving nothing but the seduction
of decaying memories in her wake,
searching foolishly,

trying to erase the boundaries
that divide creatures such as us
from the beauty of light

And through her dance did she succeed
in climbing up from our abyssal shadows,
and fly towards infinity
like a bird released from its cage,

leaving me in the absence of our shared pain,
with nothing but the agonizing memories
of her dancing in my dreams.
