Inner Despair

These thoughts intrigue me, though I know they're not right.
Buried in the zenith of depression; searching for light.
Time is passing, yet the clock stands still,
Half past dawn, flummoxed in thrill.

Counting down the hours; waiting for night.
Mind comes clear, when skies lose light.
I know I'm stuck, I'm lost within.
Seeking justice; I will not win.

A battle within, a star seeking glory.
A long lost battle, I'm significantly sorry.
I breakdown to reflect, my torn and twisted life,
I reminisce the pain, I remember the strife.

A pretence to portray, a picture perfect lie.
Almost as deceiving, as a clear blue sky.
We know a storm will come, to ruin it all,
We know the happy, will eventually fall.

A death is a death, a lie is a lie,
Yet we all struggle, to understand why.
Fame and fortunate; our inner despair.
We cry and complain that life isn't fair.

We accept ostentatious things; nothing but lies.
A book judged by its cover; I forever despise.
Forsaken the pity, banish the weak;
the thought of the rich, so they won't speak.

What is faith and what is love?
What are these feelings, that we think of?
What is satisfaction? Where is hope?
What will it take, for all of us to cope?

There must be a line, where all can be equal,
If not now, then there must be a sequel.
Our world is ending, in the palm of our hand,
we're finally seeing, the end of our land.
