Temptation Throbs

I need something to numb the pain,
something to take it all away,
but I know I cannot go there
for fear I shan't return.

Temptation throbs inside my head -
a test of self-control,
but impulses beat stronger,
and my resistance is becoming weak.

This pain is overwhelming,
its drowning me every day,
and all that I am looking for
is something to make this pain go away.

    Pain can be very overwhelming and once we find a way to cope with it makes us stronger.
    When we are hurting it can make us vulnerable and we feel the urge to give in to temptations. That's when the strength comes in. Pain may never go away completely but it becomes manageable.
