Preparing For The Breakdown

by Baby Rainbow   Jun 9, 2015

Preparing for the breakdown
became crashing waves in the way
of an already stormy sea.

The " no" thoughts became gasoline
to the fire of dreams about my destination
far away from home.

The more I contemplated survival,
the more my desperation for death grew.

It was a rapid descent
into the moving shadows of my past -
the ones that haunt me so.

And whilst I was busy preparing for the breakdown,
nobody could predict that I would end up
buried beneath this freshly laid pile
of forget-me-nots.

Sometimes a break down comes unexpected it just takes you down with it wholly! I like this though, its like you are giving yourself a mental note about what is to come and the unexpected results at the end.

The " no" thoughts became gasoline

^^This one stood out for me. I like the first line, the no thoughts become gasoline..interesting how these unwanted thoughts lights up our nights...nicely penned.
