Break Failure

by Baby Rainbow   Jul 13, 2015

I thought I had served my time,
thought I had finally learned
from making the same mistake again -
if you want to stop something...
don't start it!

Temptation is the devil,
pumping memories of addiction
back into the heart,
promises of treasure awaiting.

With inept control,
I pick up the blade for the first time in years,
trying to regain some control of this bad blood.

Tears of a warrior
may trickle down my cheeks,
but tonight I expose my weakness,
knowing that wrong is right...

And it is too late now
to let it go.
