Should i ever be found dead

by Yakari Gabriel   Aug 18, 2015

Just know that I am my mother's only child. And I am perfectly aware of where post colonialism and slavery left women like me. I am socially awake and I am not suicidal at all. I want to make this world a better place, not only for my unborn babies, but for the children of everybody I love. For my niece, my nephew, my little cousins. Know that I am perfectly aware that I am no Natalee Holloway, no plane will come in from no where trying to find my corpse. No insurance will give my mom no millions. No tv channel will come through with a movie deal. Should I ever be treated unfairly and poorly, know that i was never a woman who liked conflict. That I may have made status quo uncomfortable but I never harmed anyone. Should I ever be found lifeless anywhere. Please know that I am not up for putting myself in danger. That I care too much about my safety to say yes to strangers. That I don't do drugs and I fear men when they come in large groups. Know that I have plans and dreams and a future to look forward too. And I would never put them in jeopardy.
