Kaleidoscope

by Nobody   Oct 3, 2015

Most days
I'm treading
through a haze of gray
a smooth, glassy lake
colorless, emotionless
lifeless even
a perfect reflection

Other days
I sink a little deeper
into a indigo blue
swallowing doses
of pain and suffering
riding the waves of
a slow cooked destruction

On my worst days
I'm blazing
in the harsh hues of red
like lava spilling from
an open wound of the Earth
hot with liquid fueled
vengeance, anger, blood thirst
fighting the currents

But on good days
I can break through
the surface
and bath in a bright yellow
embracing its rays
of happiness, peace, joy
a safe place, even if
its too far and between

    Another beautiful piece from you.

I like how you compare the colours to your moods especially as these colours are compared to those moods usually.

    Grey - depression like
Blue - now this is the best as it's compared with sinking feeling
    Red - anger
    Yellow - happy

I have read few of your poems and it seems like you have been through some terrible things which would not help your moods but I'm glad you can have these good days even if they are few and far between.

    Powerful.

    Take care, Em
