Tender Touch

As my body begins to feel numb and all of my warmth cools
I feel it
The sadness and the darkness begins to set in
It is all around me
And I panic

I feel alone and empty.
It terrifies me

All I want is the warmth
The happiness
I need to feel you near
I need to feel your heart.

Your joy, it fills me
It brings me peace.

But you pushed me away,
You left me empty and alone.

I broke even more.

I sat there with tears streaming down my face and the hollow in my heart deepen. Everything around me came back
The pain
The memories

I wish they would leave, I want to be okay.
But today I sleep even more alone than before.
