Love Can Kill and So She Died

by Miranda   Jan 19, 2016

As Darkness Fills Her Up Inside
Tears Slowly Fall From Her Eyes
Because Lately All She Does Is Cry
And To Her Surprise
Her Body Hasn't Gone Dry
And This Statement May Be Oversimplified
Because She's Been Sobbing From The Fall Of Night
Until Morning Sunrise

And At First She Couldn't Untie
The Mystery Behind, The Reason Why
She Just Now Came To Realize
It's Because She's Being Deprived
Of The Usual High
She Gets From Being Happy And Alive

Most Of The Time
She Feels Crucified
From The White Lies
That Are Coming From This Guy
In Which She Still Chooses To Stand By

She Thinks She's Won Some Big Prize
But If He Was Really As Great As She Amplifies
How Come All He Does To Her Is Criticize
Why Does He Decide To Over Emphasize
By Mocking Any Of Her Replies
That He Doesn't Like

The Relationship Just Isn't Right
But When Anyone Tells Her This She Denies
Saying He Is The One In Which She Relies
And In Spite
Of Hearing How Much He's Despised
And How His Entire Demeanor Is A Disguise
She Still Didn't Decide
To Remove Him From Her Life

However After Searching Her Mind
She Began To Find
That This Man Really Wasn't Her Ally
And After Being Traumatized
Harshly Brutalized
And From All The Exhaustion From Her Many Tries
She Lay There Agonized

And Her Last Words Were Revised
From Her Heartbroken Life
"Love Can Kill"
And So
She Died

Hello Miranda and a warm welcome to the site.
Whenever somebody joins and can rhyme as well as this, it pleases me greatly - there aren't enough good rhyming poems floating around here, but this is one. It displays a real knack and has a great flow to it.
I really enjoyed this dark piece, but my only suggestion would be to drop the constant use of capitals; in my opinion, it detracts from an excellent piece.
    Well done and keep writing,
    Ben
