Dark Memories

by Rob   Jan 25, 2016

Resentment was all she had ever known before,
Living in the darkness of despair and of hate,
And she steps to visit her only friends,
As she walks through the iron cemetery gates...

She nestles atop a concrete stone,
The marker of where her friend lays,
Tears roll freely down her pale white skin,
As she awaits the nocturnal spirit ballet...

Like a Raven enchained in a bird cage,
Darkness is the only habitation she knows,
The memories of him have scarred her for life,
Death is the only sanction she wants to impose...

The darkness enhances her gothic black skirt,
Her black hair and black pained nails,
Platform boots that enslave her white skin,
In the darkness where all evil comes to prevail...

She envisions the transitional alchemy,
Where in at least here she is given respect,
Memories shared in the assemblage of peers,
Where they were all finally laid to eternal rest...

She took a long look into her compact mirror,
And did not like the reflection shown back,
Cast out the poisoned divine intervention,
It is in this darkness the shadows materialize to attack...

The enchantment of blood falls from the cut on her wrist,
And opens a door to her abysmal demise,
The fog rolls in and the air here grows cold,
His promises to them were nothing but lies...

The darkness is special to the chosen few,
Who have lived their life in sheer pain,
Where no smiles exist and hearts are broken,
Where you finally learn life was just a sad game...

It is over now and she joins her friends,
In the abyss of a graveyard gone black,
Heed the warnings as temptation will tell,
From here on out there is no turning back...
