Seven years of loneliness

by Sherry Caayupan   Jan 26, 2016

A misconstrue
of this dreary love,
lasted for
over years of seven,
what seemed perfect
now seemed damaged,
during years
of long, long ago;
i cried tears,
tears that shunned me away from reality,
left cold
and made a love that became barren,
lost, where
nowhere left to go,
losing every inch
of hope, leaving me drenched;
no one could rescue
my lonely heart for ever since,
from drowning
into others' arms,
what meant true love,
one love for those past seven,
was left succumbed
into emptiness,
those seven years of loneliness...
