Where do broken hearts go, do you know?

Where do broken hearts go, do you know?

It's neither here nor there, but in despair. Sad that they often join with those who just don't care.
They whisper nice things in your ear, once their desires they achieve it's not long before they leave, too late that you did not understand their plan they did conceive. This train wreck you now see in your rear view mirror, now it's a painful tale to tell to a friendly hearer. The damage has been done, you both had your fun in the Sun, now in your anger you curse that son of a gun, but they laugh remembering you as a past Trophy they had won.

You weep as you board the Train that takes you back to the Farm where you plan to remain with your memories in your mind as a crimson stain.

The letter you receive in the mail almost causes your heart to fail, your old lover is writing you from jail. As in your chair you rock and stare, from your soul comes the prayer; thank you Lord that I am here and he is there. I am brokenhearted but grateful to you that your love for me has never departed.

    Ken,

This is a wonderful and powerful piece. It flows well with the rhyming. The title drew me in and I wasn't disappointed.
