Moonless Darkness

by Baby Rainbow   Jan 30, 2016

In the moonless darkness
my blood runs cold,
as late night thoughts
write the truth on my arms.

Beyond this moment of despair,
dark dreams insist on haunting me,
poison in my veins will leak
and release my worries and mistakes.

So many times I have become
the victim to the weakness of my own mind,
crying myself to sleep,
screaming for help,
but thinking I deserve the pain.

Nightmares wake me up in tears,
lost inside this spinning world,
in a life that feels near to the end.
